Peripheral Possibilites

And it is the same on the inside of my computer, just open up the side, slide out the drive and put the sliding mounts on a new drive after plugging it in. It isn't that hard, I know. But difficulty isn't an issue here, it is how the consumer approaches it. Before I knew how to make computers they looked confusing as hell. I bet at least 80% of PS3 owners don't even know the back opens up, just like I never found out what that giant slot in the back of my old PS2 was for.

But how is this an issue relating to BC compatible hardware?

And that 80% remark is way out there. The people who own a PS3 right now will primarily compromise of hardcore owners, those likely to go online, those likely to have friends with PS3s who talk about them, those who want to know everything their PS3 can do, ect.

Right now you're saying 16 million people don't know the PS3 hard drive can be changed?

And almost every person who buys a PS3 doesn't know it is no longer backwards compatible so I highly doubt any of them know about the Hard Drive if they didn't even know about that. Again I will say one more time, you give people too much credit.

Again, you make up random statistics out of nowhere.

What logic is there going into that?

Just pulling the whole "everyone outside of the people on this NW forum are dumb?".

Anyway, this ain't going anywhere any more, you IMO don't give enough people credit. I'm not saying everyone knows everything, but pulling figures like 80% and saying "almost everyone", is far too weighted IMO considering the audience who are likely to be the ones owning a PS3 right now. At the price to entry I very much doubt the 20m who own a PS3 just now comprises of 80% of people with no idea about it's basic functions.

No different than putting your opinion down as the majorities.

What logic? The fact that its true is my logic since I need to tell people constantly that the system doesn't play PS2 games and again and again I get the "Wait what?" look. From my experience and most likely anyone else's experience selling things in retail, people are dumb. People are ignorant. People ask if iPod broadcasters work in Tahoes, or if Xbox games work on the DS. I had one girl come in and yell at me about how she "needed" a 120hz television when on a TV it doesn't matter. There are hundreds of examples for me to choose from and I have only been working in retail for a little over 6 months. What experience do you have that makes you so sure that people aren't morons?
