What is wrong with the 360 repair process now?

My brother's 360 got three red rings last week and I called up MS for him last Sunday (the 11th). They said a box would be on its way soon. It has been over a week and he still hasn't seen it. When I got my box sent to me when I was still living at home, it took about three days.

I tried to call up MS to complain, but no matter what I choose during the repair process prompts, I never get to speak to a real person. Any ideas? My brother is getting quite anxious and I don't blame him, this is a mess.

I just talked to them today (one of my boxes red ringed, again) and I got through to a human eventually. They told me 3-5 days on the box, we'll see how accurate that turns out to be.

if you have a box, you can now create the shipping label and send it out without waiting on one from them. I just had to do that with mine, i was promised a box, and after 3 weeks, 10 phone calls was told that it is faster to print the label and ship it out. The box must protect the unit correctly, (this was something that they hounded me on), i told them i will use the original box it shipped in, which they replied it might not meet the new standards, which i laughed at them, since i just bought an Elite, and the box is the same as my original 360 box, which was purchased on the day they went on sale.

Wow, what a joke. I finally got through to a real person today to find out, they never sent a box in the first place. Being lied to is always just a great experience....

For the second time now, he has a box "on its way" to our house.

I never call them just use the site it is much faster and you dont have to deal with those ignorant a-holes. :p

When I got my Xbox repaired, I asked for a box. I got off phone, saw a shipping label in my e-mail but was waiting for the box, so I waited but turns out they forgot to put in the application for it. Sorted it all out though when I contacted them again and got the box the next day.

Sounds exactly like what brother is going through. I guarantee he won't see the box until the middle of next week though.
