Rockstar's first batch of DLC -- that's downloadable crime -- for the hugely lucrative Grand Theft Auto IV has been priced. The 360-exclusive expansion, dubbed The Lost and the Damned, will return players to the licentious Liberty City, starting February 17th for 1600 MS points ($20).

According to several online previews (compiled by GTAGaming), players will receive: between 10 and 20 hours of new gameplay; plenty of new missions; additional music; more weapons; and membership to a fearsome motorcycle club biker gang. Are you in?

mmmm, gief!

Though I'm not sure I can go back to the console version with crappy graphics and horrible frame-rate after playing the PC version :p

You mean your gaming rig can run the Windows version smoothly?! :o

Aye, may have sounded like sarcasm but with my Intel i7, 6GB of Ram and a 4870X2 game is running butter smooth (Y)

I think it was sarcasm

I know, I was playing along :p

Anyway, I've still not done with the original missions (couldn't get into it) so I'll be waiting for a drop in price before I even consider getting this.

When its between 10/20 hours I think the $20 is justified tbh. You pay almost the same for HL episodes and get less play time..

bleh, I just said something nice about GTA4, I'm away to take a shower. dirty dirty dirty :p

If the playtime is correct, that's some pretty decent pricing (Y)

Unless it's 3-4 hours of story, then 10+ hours of collecting another 100 pigeons or something :p

Nope, it's all storyline. If it's accurate, it's roughly equivalent to the entire original main storyline (if you ignore side missions like races, car thefts, taking out friends, etc), except this time you're pretty much thrown right into it as you're already the second-in-command in this bike gang.

I'm getting it. I was in two minds at first but with all the latest info we've gotten in the previews, it sounds like an absolute steal for 1600 points. Finally, something on the Marketplace actually worth it's pricetag (hopefully x_x).

Cool, looking forward to eventually getting it. Haven't had a reason to go back to GTA.

I wonder if they'll bend the GS rule like with Halo 3 since it's a bit more than normal DLC.

Same here with the same specs but with a 4850. Core i7 ftw.

without a doubt getting this the day it is out. I've played through GTA IV 2 times now and still visit liberty city from time to time if I'm bored, so I'm sure as hell open to some diversion.

Question: I'm going to be deleting my GTA4 save and starting the story from fresh (and this time keeping everybody alive to open more options after the story is complete) is it going to be possible to switch between which storyline you want to play or am i just being dumb. (Blame the 39 hours staying awake)

I read you get the option to choose original gta 4 or lost and the damned when you start up the game, they are both standalone, there is some stuff in LATD that isn't available in the original (like music, vehicles, indoor locations).

Looking forward to it, not sure if I'ma going to purchase it straight away though. I have 1700 points on my accound atm and I'm not sure if any decent Rock Band songs are being released soon!

I cannot wait for this. This always becomes my default whenever I get bored of Gold and decide to go back down to Silver. $20 is worth it. Pretty reasonable price, too, in my opinion.

Looks like I have a reason to beat the game again since I recently started over.

I thought I'd never say this, but I'm really looking forward to The Lost and Damned. 10-15 hrs of new gameplay, new stories, new building interiors, new mini-games, new characters, story intersections with Niko, new vehicles, and new online modes. Yeah, I'm excited. Plus, "The Impossible Trilogy" theory sounds awesome
