.KICK
I am guessing it is the same as the one on the Japanese Marketplace?
Sethos
Can't wait to hear some impressions, specially if the demo is different from the Japanese one.
Smashing Pumpkin
Are there any differences between this and the Japanese demo I've had on CD for like 3 weeks, cos I only have my poor lil 20GB HDD and my internets are so slow :(
+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted January 26, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted January 26, 2009 If it's the same as the Japanese demo, I found it pretty meh. I'm back onto silver just now so I'll probably need to download and burn to a DVD or hear what you guys have to say.

+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted January 26, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted January 26, 2009 I'm not a fan of the forced AI Co-Op, that's main my beef. That and the lack of ability for Capcom to understand walking whilst shooting is not some sort of massive ridiculous feature impossible to do - Dead Space says hi. They got away with it before, now it's just starting to get lazy, and no, not being able to walk is not a "feature" of the RE series that makes it better, so don't play that one on me :p
Smashing Pumpkin
I guess it depends what you thought of RE4, I loved RE4. I know RE started out survival horror and has somewhat just turned into an action game, but I really don't mind, personally.
Nic
I've never been real into Resident Evil all that much. My fiancee loves the game. I think it's the movement style that really bothers me. I believe I will download this later today after my FEAR 2 demo finishes. Silver accounts and still download free demos, right?
+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted January 26, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted January 26, 2009 I loved RE4. But this is a new generation and new game - Time for Capcom to step it up and fix silly things like not being able to move whilst aiming, and make this more than "RE 4 HD". The Co-Op is a fairly big addition, so my beef with it is merely personal. I just always loved RE as a SP experience, I don't want to be forced to play along with some "crappy" AI I need to keep saving and micro managing inventory systems with. Co-Op is best played with friends, so it's good to have it, but I wish Capcom could of done it in some other way such as a separate co-op campaign. insomniac9
Arrrgghh!!! What a time for my 360 to die! I will have to wait until it's fixed before I get to have a go at the demo. Does anyone know if the demo's available for the PS3 (fingers crossed)

DrunknMunky Veteran Posted January 26, 2009 Veteran Share Posted January 26, 2009 AB instead of playing with the "useless" AI, why don't you play with a friend? :p

+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted January 26, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted January 26, 2009 AB instead of playing with the "useless" AI, why don't you play with a friend? :p I did for an hour or two this afternoon. Much more fun (Y) but I still see RE as a SP franchise ;)
DrunknMunky Veteran Posted January 26, 2009 Veteran Share Posted January 26, 2009 I'm happy it's going co-op tbh, there has been plenty of SP RE games now, it's time to do something new with the franchise  (albeit they are copying/pasting the formula that worked well with RE4)

I don't mind when they add co-op campaigns as separate editions, but before you know it most of the good SP game experiences are going to be mish-mashed into co-op :p I know I'm still going to enjoy RE5, so I'll wait and see what the final game is like with AI. I just wish Silent Hill wasn't tanking as badly as it now is, what a POS SH5 was - NEVER hand Japanese style horror franchises to American/Western devs.
