What font do you code in, and other settings

Question

Curious what other coders use for their font while coding. I'm using VS2008, 2005 and MS SQL Management.

I've switched to Lucida Sans Unicode (black, 8pt), with a silver back ground and it seems to be easier on the eyes. But I was wondering those of you with black or darker backgrounds what font, font size, etc are and what your other display items are set to.

BTW i'm using a 24" monitor @ 1920x1200 - still wishing for a 30" pretty bad.

I basically use this color scheme in VS2008:

click

I adjusted the font size to 9pt though.

I'm using a standard 15" laptop(1280x800)

Awesome. I'm giving it a try. The white/light silver is getting to me and but when I tried to switch to a black background everything else is wacked and I'm not patient enough to go through every setting! So I'll give this a try, thanks.

I'd like to hear from others still.

I basically have the same one too. Like it a lot.

Textmate showing Ruby on the left Objective-C on the right.

Slightly modified version of the 'sunburst' theme

ProFont as the type-face.

EDIT: JPG destroyed that. Fixed with PNG.

wow that hurts just looking at that! Not really. It's cool to see what other people are using.

 I tried using a dark background and light text but it hurt my eyes after awhile.

I've been using the black now for over a week now and wow, i'm loving it. However, I am currently working on a project where the website is in black - so i think that has something to do with it. But I have opened up some other projects with the default font/size colors and it looks so.... weird. I look at the current one and for some reason I feel smarter! hahaha.

Windows

Notepad: Verdana 8 or Courier New 8

Notepad++: Courier New 8

Linux

Gedit: Verdana 7.5 Lucida Console 7.5

terminal/vi/nano: DejaVu Sans Mono 7.5

(Don't ask why, but 7.5 looks better than 7 or 8 on my Linux boxes)

For any other applications (VS2k8, MonoDevelop, etc..) the default settings.
