Fid Share Posted January 30, 2009 Hey all! Trying to install Debian in Virtual PC 2007 (I don't intend to use it loads, just now and again for coursework at the moment) but I am having several major problems. Firstly - it seems to be taking ages to retrieve files for installation! I have a really fast connection, but it seems to download some files - then stop. Download a few more - then stop. Secondly - it fails for some reason during installation! I've NO idea why. Any ideas anyone?
Rigby Share Posted January 30, 2009 Virtual PC kind of sucks for Linux; actually for just about everything these days. It's good for running really old operating systems like OS/2 and Windows 95 because it emulates really old hardware. I would try VMware or maybe VirtualBox instead.
