Fid
Hey all! Wanted some recommendations on a new game to play. Bored of 360 at the moment so turned back to PC. It seems at the moment every game I play is a FPS, which is fine, but I want something I can 'manage'. I can't remember the right genre, would it be strategy, sim? I'm talking about the games such as Theme Hospital (ignoring the recent 3d rip of TH), Rollercoaster Tycoon (ignoring the most recent 3d version), Theme Park (again...). Is there anything good like those out there? I tried Civ 4, but don't like the turn by turn (didn't realise it was like that!). Should I try the new Sim City? A lot of new updates to those kind of games seem, well, crap! Looking at reviews anyway. So, any recommendations for games like the above I can try? Cheers! Fid
Cheers for your suggestions everyone! Going to definitely give transport tycoon deluxe a go, and possibly RCT. Loved the 2nd one but not the 3rd, so I've decided why not just play the 2nd :p. (Aside from hoping it should work on Vista). Got the Sims 2, very much waiting for Sims 3 on the 20th! Fid
Brilliant game to be honest. I like all the additions to the original that the OTTD guys have made too. Going to download this now and give it ago. I used to love playing TT just creating my own network of trains - this looks promising and regularly updated with some nice updates. I read there was something like that going on for TH, just a shame that isn't updated anymore or not as advanced.

MindTooth
Only EA would release the old Bullfrog classics on GOG.com. Birger :)
Minifig
Only EA would release the old Bullfrog classics on GOG.com. But that goes against their philosophy of infecting everything with DRM. In order to be on Gog they'd have to be DRM free.
DanManIt
I think I'm going to get openttd as well. It looks promising
mitch41
Theme Hospital was COOL! It is one of the only games worthy of being on my shelf on display. I always liked Age of Empires 2, I have never tried the expansion packs but I am sure they add some fun. I have also heard Age of Mythology is fun. Lee
I read there was something like that going on for TH, just a shame that isn't updated anymore or not as advanced. You got a link to that? Edit: Just found it.. It's here for anybody interested, just no installer. Edited February 2, 2009 by Lee
