DrunknMunky Veteran Posted January 31, 2009 Veteran Share Posted January 31, 2009 If you missed out on the previous Buy.com, Walmart, or Amazon deals on the LIVE Gold Card, it looks like you have one more chance. BestBuy.com is set to offer an incredible deal on the Xbox LIVE 12 + 1 Bonus Month Gold Card. They have confirmed to us that they will offer the cards at $29.99 (Reg. $49.99). You can use these cards to establish a new membership, or to simply add an additional 13 months of Xbox LIVE goodness to your existing account. You could even buy 2 and stack 26 months. This deal officially starts on Sunday, February 1, 2009 and runs through February 7, 2009. Guarantee the deal by ordering online for 'in store' pickup. Sam Symons Veteran Posted February 1, 2009 Veteran Share Posted February 1, 2009 I assume this is an American-only deal, like the previous Amazon one?

Argi
Getting asymptotically closer to the golden $0 mark. Not that it makes any difference until we get the same deal here. =\
Sam Symons Veteran Posted February 1, 2009 Veteran Share Posted February 1, 2009 WOW. I didnt even know about the previous buy or amazon or walmart deals. Can I ask WHY? Does anyone know WHY its so cheap? Maybe Microsoft's helping them out to get them so cheap, to get more people on Live. Last I heard there were still millions of people with Xbox's but not Xbox Live, heh.
Sikh
Sam I did bring that into the factor but the thing is, Most of those users dont have broadband and will not pay for broadband and THEN a subscription. I work at a game store and when people buy ps3's from us I always ask if they have internet, to this day 75% said no but the PS3 will make them change there mind, so they walked over to att and signed up for dsl. Where as the XBOX, people will go "this a month for the damn internet thats only for console, and then THIS fee for being online on the console, screw that". The first cost throws them off so the second cost just says turn around and walk away.
