EGA Trek was great. I tried playing it, but it isn't the version that I remembered (or I'm missing some instructions). I remember a version with a feature that you could board the other ship via transporters and take them over. Any ideas?

Also, I really am looking for even older games. 8-bit Atari games.

Wow the days of Commander Keen and such... I sadly remember playing a LOT of these games, those where the GOOD game days... when gameplay was the big thing not graphics, but it was nice to show off what you could do with 4 or 16 colors in EGA/CGA graphics or when VGA came with 256 colors it was like WOW

Thexder and Test Drive (upto #3 all I got to say). I wish there were new (or similar) police Quest games. Blue Force (which is on there) doesn't have the same feel.

Sorry to bump, but I've been looking for Commander Keen for a while now and found this thread.

But it won't let me install, saying I have an invalid version of Windows. I have tried running it in compatability mode for Windows 95. Suggestions?

Even to this day the BEST games were for DOS!

No, the best games were for the Commodore VIC-20 & Commodore 64.
