Pippin666
I am using Windows XP Pro SP3, I patched my system with UXTheme Multi-Patcher 4.0.exe,... And it is not working. Even the default blue theme looks like a bigger Windows Classic theme. I re-runned the patch to revert to normal. Btw, the theme I wanna install is this one : http://lassekongo83.deviantart.com/art/Ald...-Style-97248031 Pip'
Karl L.
I haven't tried any uxtheme patching since I primarily used XP 3 years ago, but I do remember having that problem once or twice. Since to install the patch, the patcher has to stop the theme service, maybe it didn't restart the service when it was done. You might try restarting the service manually and see if it works. EDIT: The service I was thinking of is simply called "Themes."

Jamushroom Veteran Posted February 4, 2009 Veteran Share Posted February 4, 2009 Try searching for uxtheme.dll files outside X:\Windows\System32\ (where X is your windows drive). If you find any outside, you can remove those. If that doesn't work, try this patcher: UXTender.
