Truly awesome. What a movie they could make. What a game they could make, with that sort of look and feel. Must watch.

Oh shoot! I only watched the first few seconds of the video and I thought it was just a cut scene from the demo. It isn't!

They removed the video, but here is an alternative source [GameTrailers].

After watching this, apparently, there was a huge stir in the community and they are pre-ordering the game like mad! The cinematic really looks intense and based on what I saw, I predict a really long single player campaign as well. It goes really deep!

My goodness. That was truly amazing. If only they could make a feature length CGI movie based on Halo. :omg:

So far some things that didn't "jive" story wise with segments of the community are starting to make a lil more sense with this leaked trailer.

I'm pre ordering now!

omfg, that was amazing, even if the demo didn't convince me of buying this yet, these cinematics would, the story looks interesting and I so wish there is a full length movie released like this some day.

I actually cried a little while watching that. So overwhelming..

Umm, are you serious? It's just a game a couple of the opening CGI's, if anything will make you cry it would be the ending one.

Yeah OXM said in there review that the game's story is good but the game ending the epic. They also said that there's nothing much in multiplayer (not that I care, since I rarely play multi) but there are 14 maps.

Can you elaborate more on the multiplayer aspect?

I think the halo fps's could have been considerably more epic if they dealt more with the actual human convenent war (as in, the stuff that took place before Halo 1) rather than all the sort of outlandish stuff that they do deal with. Less ancient and wild forerunner stuff, more gritty war.

I doubt they'll actually do this, but if they did a prequel fps trilogy, I think that this is one case where they could make it even better than the main trilogy.

I saw the beginning bit, but the rest was new.

And maybe its just me, but the trailer did more for me hype wise than anything I have seen for any of the previous Halo games.

Unit pathfinding iis weak, framrate is a bit chunky almost all the time but it never actually hampers the fun. There are only 2 modes skrimish and deathmatch, also there are 14 maps consist of 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 blocks and team play.

This I wrote from OXM magazine review which gave the game 9.0. On plus side (Despite jumping genres, still feels like a Halo game, Easy and engaging to pick up and play) while only negative is (Minor A.I. and pathfinding annoyances).

Also I don't agree with flood being in this story but playing should be really fun.

Yeah, the cinematic pretty much convinced me to pre-order this.

I do agree with Neo that there is not be a flood campaign. Maybe a mini-game like mode?

There is a good opportunity for a Covenant campaign however.

The only thing that prevented Halo from looking like a complete Starcraft rip-off was the fact that it is a FPS. Now that we do have a Halo RTS, it would definitely be compared to Starcraft. If we had playable Flood, then we need units to balance it out, like a flood air troops and ground troops [only spores, combat forms, pure forms and carrier forms are present in the Halo series]. If we had those then it would most certainly look like a Starcraft rip off.

Well actually, I think it is because of those elements that Halo has such a great storyline. If they had concentrated just on the war and not the Forerunners, it would like another dumb 'Aliens come, Aliens kill' game.

Just wanted to let you guys know, this is more like a fan made montage than a trailer. The music in the background is "Optimus vs. Megatron" by Steve Jablonsky from the Transformer's Score [someone should have hired both this guy and Marty.]. I bet the music contributed a lot to the epicness! ;)

I dreamt about the cinematic. I don't remember much but I remember being a soldier and protecting a scientist. And I remember the scientist activating some ancient Forerunner weapon that kills the Covenant. :|

Meh, Halo universe s nothing like StarCraft, the design of everythgin from the human armor and units to the story and aliens are entirely different. the only thing remotely similar would be flood and zerg and even they ar emiles apart since the flood is an infection and are mostly zombies with tentacles :p

Meanwhile, StarCraft is so close to Warhammer 40k, it's assraping it, and they're not even ashamed to admit it :)

Either way it's going to be a great game both to play and to watch the cinematics and follow the story, I'm not so sure I care all that mucht hat the multiplayer may not be all that great to start with anyway, I rarely end up playing RTS games much in MP.
