devl
Hey all My start menu used to show my windows username at the top and it had a small white area in the same style as the bottom of the start menu. now for some reason theres a big black area all over it. I have no idea how this happened? It doesnt look that bad because im using a black visual style but take a look at the other screenshot with default xp theme, so ugly.:x anyone know what could be causing this and how i could fix it? Jamushroom Veteran Posted February 8, 2009 Veteran Share Posted February 8, 2009 Did you happen to install a program before this happened? Also, have you tried rebooting your PC to see if it's still occurring?

dis
first you need to figure it out if it is current user problem (HKEY_CURRENT_USER) or global. check with another user account. (create a new one) if you are still experiencing problems it might be "global" problem. (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT / or something dll related. in example; uxtheme.dll)
