It's not *that* bad tbh. Being able to turn off the pilot assistance to get better control is pretty cool, and drifting in mid-air is fun, but it's all the same - you shoot some targets, then you shoot some more targets. And (in co-op at least) you don't get a moment's silence, with really bad (so bad it's hilarious) voice acting dominating the flying sound effects. Definitely missable, but not quite as horrendous as I was expecting.

Well, somebody go test and tell me if it's an arcade game, crappy arcade game or super horrible crappy arcade game. :p

Well, I heard its got no takeoff and landing, and the planes can carry more missiles than a aegis battleship.

I really don't see the need for another ace combat game.

I dunno. it seems more arcadey than Ace Combat in flying and combat, though it seems to have a less arcadey missile load, even thought he planes still have a ridiculous amount of missiles :) though it's all fun, but I dunno.

Since they where doing it with the Tom clancy name, I would have wished they'd done it a lot more realistic, Low missile load, one hit and you're out, at least heading back for a new plane. And some proper inside cockpit view, well you know inside withthe UG anyway, not just beind and that other stuipd view that makes no sense at all.

As cool as the no assistance view is, I don't get it, it doesn't make sense, I'd rather be inside or behind and have no assistance, why do I have to have a ridiculous view where I can't even tell what way my plane will turn to when flying with no assistance. I AC6 makes it hard to hit other planes with the gun, this one takes that to a whole new level of not possible with that stupid view.

Still it looks good and seems like it's good fun, but on the other hand, it's just "Ace Combat 6: The other game that's slightly different"

And for someone who's used to Tom clancy being stuck on quality titles like RB6 and Raven shield and Ghost recon, or even the futuristic but still relatively realistic GRAW series, it doens't feel liek it has that Tom Clancy touch. Tom Clancy used to mean, Realistic, hard and gritty.

I realllly liked the demo. It was a little boring in the first mission, although it was obviously just some basic controls and fighting tutorials, but the second one was good (Y)

I really wasn't all that interested in it before now, definitely gonna check it out though :)

Nothing new to this game, may as well play "Combat Flight Simulator" from '99.

Adding Tom Clancy to the title seems a little trite

agree with hawkman and others that the Tom Clancy endorsement is getting out of hand...did he even write anything for this? i was at the bookstore a few days ago looking at Rainbow Six novels that had a big Tom Clancy upfront and a tiny "written by so and so" on the side. not nice to the person who actually wrote the book!
