kroll
I edited the several comctl in winsxs and the "normal modern" open/save dialogue has the edited bitmaps applied. But there is another modern open/save dialogue that will still display the unchanged bitmaps. For example: the dialogue where the changes applied is used with restorator, the other one is used with photoshop cs4 Any idea how to change these? kroll
OK I figured this out (Its so beatiful! Finally, these ugly buttons are gone!) I had to edit the comctl files located at winsxs/amd64xxxxxxxx: I didnt know these amd64 files were accessed too. For some reason I always thought they were just backup files or something, used just to replace system files if theyre modified. Well they arent. And this makes xp x64 ressource hacking just a little bit more annoying (and it already is pretty annoying, not beeing able to use replacer and stuff) Now theres not only files at system32 and sysWOW64 but you will also have to check those weird amd64 folders for ressources. And I dont even use an AMD cpu...
Xahid
lol well, care to share ? or screen shot of what you have done ? :)
Matthew S.
And I dont even use an AMD cpu... the irony here is X86-64 is AMD tech, hence why it's called amd64 within windows, where as IA-32 (x86_32) is intel tech.
