Logo: Your opinions

Question

Hi all,

I need your opinions, I?ve finally created a logo ? it only took 2 days, and it?s now 6:25am in the morning because I cannot sleep (which is quite annoying). So, I put some finishing touches onto it, but I need your opinions, both of the following logos are identical (one?s just smaller):

Large (56.8KB): http://www.djm-uk.com/images/djm_logo/djm_beta_24.gif

Small (23.5KB): http://www.djm-uk.com/images/djm_logo/djm_...ta_24_small.gif

P.S.

If you have very high resolution (above 1024x768) then the smaller logo's text won't be "as" clear.

Thanks in advance, and thanks to "Evil_Dragon", "nlouch", and all the others who helped me earlier in getting the basics.

I don't like the way DJM has been "scribbled" over the logo. It spoils it imo. I would try and stick to the overall appearance and perhaps give the lettering a sort of "chrome" feel. Other than that it looks great.

I agree completely with keld-o :p. Also, there's something about the border... I can't quite place it... Hmmm....

Fix em, though and it'll look great! :D

Yeah I wasn't too sure about the border either. But anyways, I've straightened things out, made things more clear and my folks like it so rc1 it's out, and I've gone straight for the final:

Small: Logo

Large: Logo

Thanks again ya'all for the help, it's greatly appreciated.

It took you two days to do that?! I can do the same thing in about 2 minutes. Sorry I dont want to be mean about the slowness, but I know what it's like to spend time on typography. I can have the overall design done in 5 minutes but sometimes it takes hours for me to decide where just the text looks best. :)

bluerei, those 2 days included learning the software - I had no idea how to draw a straight line, let alone curves.

R-MAXX, thanks man - the software was Photoshop 7.0 (trial version).

FlashMan, yeah, links are broken because i've finalised it, here's the links if you wish to looksy:

Thanks again ya'all.
