Beau Bridges
Hey guys, I have been using Ubuntu for about a week now and I have been getting tired of it and I miss my XP. I was wondering if it was possible that I could boot a Windows XP CD Image from my 120GB 5G Classic iPod in order to install XP.
TEX4S
If your BIOS supports USB boot - then quite possible - but since the iPod is done in UNIX - doesnt the OS Source have to be in NTFS ? Also, you can prob use the HP USB Format Utility to make the iPod "appear" as a USB CD - that is if you can get the NTFS .exe to run on the iPod - might need an emulator of some sort... Kami-
No idea about an iPod, but my Sony MP3 player can do this. :)
Tumble
from what i read when i tried to do it is it wont work because the second windows boots it realizes that the ipod isnt a drive and that its an ipod so it kinda screws itself over? i tried forever to get something like that to work even with the hp utility and i couldnt get it. redvamp128
Why not just install Virtual Box -- www.virtualbox.org then install your xp virtually and then install the addons.
