What is wrong with you MS

Starting to do 1200 points norm on this crappy economy, seriously what is up with that, 1200 is too god damn expensive for some of the game they have been pulling out....

I sure wish they stopped that, great games are worth it, like castle bashers and braid, but these ones coming out aren't that great!

So far it seems like a stunt to raise prices, on a terrible economy, so buying a 360 is cheap but games are not?

I will stay with my PSN games until you fix this stunt!

I agree but my main gripe is with the structure. As I pointed out in another thread you cannot buy 1200 points. You have to buy 1000 then 500. So ?8 ish + ?5 ish. Either lower it to 1000 or let us decide how many points. Then you have 300 points left over you can use for **** all.

I agree with you. I wish Microsoft would lower the price of the Wireless Network Adapter and the Hard Drives, but they're a business and know that most people will eventually buy one because there are no immediate choices.

You can of course hack your own harddrive or work around the wireless network adapter, but many people don't have the time or knowledge to even attempt that.

The "meh" Arcade games being 1200 points is just too much as apparently you have to buy one 1000 point card and another card because they don't have 1200 point cards? Wireless Network Adapter for $80 is overpriced. 120GB 2.5" 5400RPM HDD's for $140 is grossly overpriced.

lol, was thinking the exact same thing. Don't like the price, don't buy it. Also for the record, I'm fairly sure it's the company developing the game that sets the price (within a certain range) and not Microsoft.

Yeah, it's the developer who sets the price. It seems everyone saw some games were being bought for 1200 points and everyone decided they could charge the same.

Gotta love the interwebz lol

Seems u guys like 1200 games

How about you just don't buy it? I have only bought one XBL Arcade game and I've owned my 360 since January 2007. You don't to purchase things if you don't like the price. Wait until they go on sale or find something cheaper.

I just wish Ferrari would lower their prices! I mean a Corolla is $17,550, the Ferrari's got half the number of seats, make them half the prices of that! Just look at the oil prices!

/sorry wrong thread

If people say "it's worth it, I'll pay 1200 points for this game" then it is worth it, it is the right price. you may not think they're great, but others do.

It might amaze you, but some peopel don't think Castle Crashers is worth 1200 points, while they thinkt he games you think aren't are. imagine that, not everyone share the same taste....

and how does staying with PSN help this at all. do the sane thing, buy games you like and don't buy games you don't like, it's really very simple. and honestly 1200 isn't really that much, it's what people paid for shareware games back in the day, when many of the 1200 point games now, where full price and sold in stores.

1200 points keeps me from making impulse buys on some games, but it's hardly over the top expensive. I aslo don't see them giving away anything decent on PSN, the prices seem pretty close IIRC. And as someone else mentioned, the whole M$ thing is lame.

God does not Exist. that simple

Lol @ the guys with retorts that are childish or imply the author is one. Internets where my opinion is my own. Was starting a opinion thread not a flame one, reason I picked psn is because some of the games there are within reason, also I can add cash a lot easier than Points. Alas as a consumer, in this economy it seems my opinion does not matter.

What is 1200 points in pounds?

That's my only complaint, using space bucks and forcing you to buy increments rather than just spend what you need is fail. Use real currency next time please MS.

Other than that, many of these DLC titles are easily worth the fraction of the price of retail they cost - They'll still give you hours of fun. Just don't buy them if you can't afford them, most are reasonably priced.

Using a single credit system across Live and across the globe helps unifing the costs though. And it's easy to know what you are spending when you are using the system anyway.

And I'm not sure if this has since changed, but there used to be complaints about the work required to pay for PSN content with those "real money" as opposed to the ease of just buying something on XBL. I guess and hope that's changed since though.

Unify what costs? The money still leaves your bank account in your real currency and goes to MS if you buy points directly.

What complaints are you talking about? You put your debit/visa card on your PSN account and it just takes whatever it needs from it when you have to buy something. Or you can put as much money as you want in your PSN wallet at any time and leave it there - Minimum amount is ?5, but over that you can put any exact figure you want, no silly increments leaving you with odd amounts.

America and Japan have PSN cards of real currency value, Europe still needs them though.

Honestly, no point in arguing, I hate space buck systems, Nintendo does it as well. It's 10x more meaningful for me when I'm using my own currency and know what I'm spending without doing conversion calculations in my head. If you think differently fair enough, I'm not trying to convince anyone otherwise, that's just my opinion - And no I don't care THAT much, would just be nice if we used real currency and were able to spend exactly what we need [with something like a minimum of ?5 only - that is in place to avoid credit card charges for Sony. Go to the petrol/gas station and see if they'll let you pay for < ?5 worth of petrol on a card].

Well maybe it's changed, but it used to be that you had to do a lot of verification or something on PSN. and there was some complaints that since it was allready using real money, you shouldn't need to move your real bank money first into the PSN bank to pay, instead of just payign directly, wich sort of defeated the purpose of using real money.

Though I dunno, I haven't used PSN. It might have changed, or it might not have been a problem as the news site that complained about it made it out to be, though they do tend to be somewhat pro PS.
