Best way to learn C# with asp.net

Question

Hey all,

I've been developing programs using C++ and MFC for about 5 years now, befroe then I was a software tester :)

About 6 years ago I did use C# with ASP.NET and ADO.NET, to build a small intranet site for use in our labs, anyway I did this in my spare time reading some web tutorial etc.. but since then I haven't really touched on it.

I've been asked to look at Sharepoint, to develop something to work with our MFPs and from what I am reading you really should know ASP.NET first.

I was thinking on doing the old "buy a book and learn" or some "online course"

Can anyone recommend which one are good?

Well, C# has changed a little bit over the last 6yrs. I program in C# and VB.NET (current project at work I'm doing in C# though). The main portion of the project is an asp.net site that's using quite a bit of AJAX. If you're looking for online stuff, I'd recommend the Total Training videos because they're very good. For the most part, I don't really use any books, just Google :) I'd probably say I'm a mid-level developer (got a long way to go before I get to senior level).

Take your pick from any of these results:

I don't have much experience with sharepoint at all besides using it when I was a contractor at FedEx last year. Hope that gets you started in the right direction though.
