DannyCSC
Not sure if this is the right forum, but I need to know what my niece is typing on the computer. Is there a program the will record what other users are typing on my computer. Freaks in the world and I need to know if she is talking to them. I have seen some that just do instant messaging but none that record everything. Myspace, facebook, twitter, all that crap.
Chris123NT
most effective way would be to install a keylogger, but that would take a while to decode into actual words that she is typing, especially if she typos a lot.
metallithrax
There is a program called eblaster that records everything. And as has been said, make sure the people using the PC know that everything is been recorded.

+BeLGaRaTh Subscriber¹ Posted February 18, 2009 Subscriber¹ Share Posted February 18, 2009 A key logger wouldnt be able to show what was typed to her, afaik. Plus can I ask why you say "whats my kid typing" when it is not your daughter? It all doesn't quite ring true to me :/
DrewJW
Lay off the guy, sheesh some people are being hard on him for a opinion. Right personally some good recommendations been made, honestly? to view her IM convo's most clients give the options to create logs...do this.. makes your job easier. As for FaceBook etc.... the loggers work. I use them on a computer of which only my partners young cousin uses... I've explained why and she is fine, shes a top student in school, and a very popular kid in the local area, she has no issues with it... and to be honest I do trust her 100%... for pete's sake I just forked out ?200 for a share of a second hand MacBook for her!. aussiefloyd_fan
thats crazy. another gig of ram isnt probally going to DRASTICLY reduce your boot time. i say this only because my sisters laptop has 512 ram and loads ultimate in 53 seconds. do you use any prorams like limewire, kazaa, or crap like that? if so PLEASE dont. that will slow it down ald like everyone said a freshformat would be a wise choice

fatboyuk
If you want to see absolutely everything install VNC and then use a screen recorder like CamStudio to record on your machine whilst you are viewing the VNC session.

war
Why not block those type of sites then? I use opendns.com to do just that. It's free! You sign up for free and then you can control what type of sites anyone can visit using your network. Works great. To control all PCs at once simply change router (assuming your using one, if not, you should be) to use opendns and use firewall to force all dns requests to opendns. Just a thought... I have used OpenDNS before, it's quite nice. But the filters are a bit dodgy IMO.
