ContendeR
I am using Vista Home Premium Edition and want to completely remove nVidia display drivers from my PC and reinstall them. The reason I am asking is because I play a FREE FPS called Combat Arms. I have it installed under Win7 and it displays nicely and correctly. By that I mean in Vista, it's stretched, cutting off edges and players names when typing.

First uninstall the nVidia drivers using add/remove from the Control Panel or in Windows 7 the Programs and Features applet. I don't know what the Vista equivalent is as I've never used Vista. Next reboot into safe mode and run either Driver Cleaner or Driver Sweeper. Driver Sweeper can be downloaded from here http://downloads.guru3d.com/Driver-Sweeper...nload-2186.html Driver Cleaner is shareware now http://www.drivercleaner.net/ but if you Google Driver Cleaner Pro you should be able to find the freeware version. However Driver Sweeper uses the most recent database of nVidia entries. After this reboot and install the drivers you want.

I installed drivers from nVidia after they were removed rather than using drivers provided by Windows Update. I wonder if this is the problem as Win7 is using the drivers provided by Windows Update? DooGie
Is the driver version showing the same as the version that you downloaded from nVidia or something different? It may be an idea to post your question on this forum http://forums.guru3d.com/forumdisplay.php?f=
