0 excessdl
yeah, i'd use sites,too.. just google photoshop 7 tutorials.. as far as books go, though, my mom's an artist and i wanted to teach her photoshop(show her the wonders of undoing mistakes).. since she's pretty computer illiterate, i found a great book that shows pictures of every tool being used and examples of what to do with them. forget the title, but any walden's bookstore will have it.. you'll recognize it due to the color pictures. she picked it up in no time. 0 Kemistry
Walden's bookstore? I don't think we have those in the UK. It would be great if you could get the title or author Sounds just what I need! Thanks to everyone for the sites too! Cheers
0 FlashMan
If I were you I would try to find tutorials that you can actually watch the person make something the other ways by reading are hard to lean that way.. sofware today is preyt complicated to learn by just reading you have to play around or watch somehting happen to learn how to do it. 0 Detri
The best way to learn photoshop is to try everything... Try creating lens flares, chroming them, extruding them, copying the layers, overlaying, distorting, all of that good stuff :)

Question
Kemistry
Hi, I need your help.
For a long while, I've been wanting to learn how to use Photoshop, mainly for creating
logos, cool wallpapers, web buttons and the like. But due to an unhealthy obsession with XP, WS 2003 and Longhorn I've not had the time.
However, I'm now putting in the time but I have no idea where to get started.
I do have Photoshop 7 and a couple of magazines from WHSmiths about using photoshop.
Can you please recommend some books, sites, hints or whatever to help a photoshop newb like me..
Cheers
Kemistry (Getting ever nearer that 100th post!)
