Quake 3 Arena 'Very Close' To Hitting XBLA

Recommended Posts

As the people above me have already stated. Q3 + controller = fail. There are some FPS games that work with a controller, but Q3A isn't one of them.

Quake 4 worked fine with a controller. Not sure why this game would be any worse with a controller than any other console FPS.

Also, I can still see it being popular. Quake Live is playing on the PC. This is playing on the 360. Obvious difference and I know you're aware of it, but still, people will buy :)

Wasn't Quake 4's MP just a clone of Quake 3's with updated graphics? Can't see there being much interest in this, especially with Quake Live out.

Quake Live -> PC

Q3A XBLA -> XBox 360

Can't wait for that. And I'm sure its going to play well with a controller. I guess we'll get all features from Quake Live like matchmaking and raking too.

Not really IMO.

Somewhat yes, but it was IMO slower overall compared to Q3 MP. Like everyone above me has said though, Q3 is just way to fast to play with a controller. Unless they totally gimp the speed, or add a massively large auto-aim thing, or something. I just can't see it playing anything like the PC version that's for sure.

Excessive Q3 baby! Boy do I love those days.
