Square Enix has released a demo for The Last Remnant, the PC port of last year's Xbox 360 RPG. The new port will reportedly make use of Steamworks in the addition of new, unspecified features.

Grab the 1.01GB demo now on FileShack.

It's been out on the Xbox 360 since November 2008. I've yet to try it. From what I can see, it could be good.

It's set to be released on PC in April. Yes, that means it'll be available on STEAM.

EDIT: Download @ STEAM | GamersHell

Wow thanks a lot, i got rid of my xbox and i found out this was coming to pc not so long ago, im excited about playing it i hope its not a shoddy port.

The file you requested is no longer available, most likely because it has been outdated by a newer release of this file. Alternatively, we could have been asked to remove this file by its author. Or perhaps you shouldn't be here (yet) :-)

Gone already, shame.

ohh ******** to that then *Stops download*

You should have realised that when you saw the words "Square Enix". That's all they do! Just Final Fantasy, but with so many settings and names.

But hell, I'll download it anyway and try it out. I've got the performance (and hard drive space) to play it now! :D

It doesn't hurt to try. I'm not a fan of Final Fantasy myself but I'm willing to give this demo a shot. :)

I have it downloaded on my main PC but I don't have the time to try it. I plan on installing it tomorrow so I'll let you know if it's any good.

Eww at the 360 reviews :s Is it really that bad?

To be fair, the 360 version suffers from a number of frame rate issues and poor loading times - these appear to have been resolved in the PC version.
