goji
Long story short, I need a copy of my receipt which the 360 was purchased because of RROD'itis. I bought it through Best Buy on my Best Buy CC, and didn't know if BB would maintain any record of proof of purchase in the event I cannot locate my receipt. Help and or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
rajputwarrior
if you didn't get the psp, you are pretty much screwed. Maybe if you used a credit card they can find it, but if it's cash or no psp you are pretty much done for
gdodson
Just go to customer service. If you bought it on a Best Buy credit card, it'll be stored in the system.
neoadorable
they can search by electronic means of payment, as mentioned above, or if you gave them your phone number, they'll have a record of your purchases. some Best Buys ask for phone numbers still. Exactly, however when registering it online, it has already passed the "one year" expiration date, and I have to contest the warranty to receive the free fix. Thus I need the receipt for the additional documentation.

Neo003
By now you could've went to the store yourself and ask any working employee the same question. :/ Unless you don't have any BB store in Monster Island and you have to go all the way to Saint Island.

Pilsbury
Unless you don't have any BB store in Monster Island and you have to go all the way to Saint Island. ROFL. As an aside, doesn't using XBox Live on a console register it with XBox Live? Certainly seemed to be the case with mine when I was having server problems with Live a few months ago. Just when you go through creating the request, choose RRoD and it will automatically waive the charges. However if you did purchase it with a replacement plan at Best Buy that will be a much faster experience.

I went online to "order" the box for repairs etc. I know that the console was and had to have been registered since I was playing online the day I received it though it didn't seem to indicate it on xbox.com When my buddy sent his in a couple months ago he didn't have to contest the warranty. Just when you go through creating the request, choose RRoD and it will automatically waive the charges. Which was what I did, however it didn't waive the charges; it showed the expiration date being 2007 despite the console purchase date May 2006. Overall a very weird experience. Overall a very weird experience. The automatic registration with xbox live goes on the Manufacturing date not the Purchase date if i remember correctly.
