Geoffrey B. Veteran Posted March 2, 2009 Veteran Share Posted March 2, 2009 (edited) Has anyone played World of Warcraft on the new Aluminum Macbooks. I am going to be getting one of the new Macbooks in a month or so. Currently i am able to play WoW on my old notebook however it is dying (hince the purchase of a new one) and i can play it with almost all low settings With the configuration of the new Macbooks is it able to play the game close to high settings. here are the specs for the Macbook i am getting Proc: 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo RAM: 4GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x2GB HDD: 160GB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400 rpm GFX: NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics Also this is the first Mac i will have ever owned so i am not sure how well they handle their hardware compaired to windows and linux this is why i am asking. I am rather sure that if this were windows it would be able to play WoW almost all the way on high settings however i have never owned a MAC Edited March 2, 2009 by littleneutrino

StealMySoda
What graphics chip has it got? If your getting one with the 9400, you should be able to play it just fine.
thefarewellnote
It will run great. Hell WoW on the old white MacBook ran decent. The 9400 will hold up well on WoW - you may notice a little lag in IF or other heavy traffic areas but you should be ok for the most part
Geoffrey B. Veteran Posted March 2, 2009 Author Veteran Share Posted March 2, 2009 well i know that it will run on it i was just asking if it would run on high settings. Which i guess it will. And that awesome. It sux to play on my current notebook with the settings all the way down and then go home to my desktop with them all the way up lol.
