DigitalE
I too find GRID to be harder than normal, it's really hard for to go into a corner and still have control over the car itself. Most of the time I crash into something, whether it's a barrier or even another driver. That said, I do like the cars but it was just too hard for its own good. GRID is easier and a whole lot more fun with a wheel rather than the gamepad :)
san.W10
GRID is NFS Pro Street rip off :p just better i hope this game is modable like GTR2. e.g., adding tracks like Nordschleife, monaco ...
Scirwode
GRID is easier and a whole lot more fun with a wheel rather than the gamepad :) Unfortunately, I don't really have enough money to get a wheel :p . Anyway, getting a wheel just so you can enjoy one game that should have good keyboard and keypad support isn't what I called intuitive. carmatic
I finally watched some videos on Live that showed actual game-play footage, and I have to say WOW. I was very impressed with the visuals and the driving looked really tight. where can you find these gameplay videos? all i can find are copies of that teaser, and people taking footage from other racing games and labelling them as NFS Shift ... san.W10
Criterion Games developing next NFS for 2010? While this year's NFS games are already in development a new rumour popped up: According to Primotechnology John Riccitiello announced in an internal presentation that Criterion Games, the developers of the successful Burnout series is working on a new Need for Speed title for 2010.After the restructuring of EA Black Box Criterion Games was already in discussion, but this thought was dropped once the new NFS games (Need for Speed Shift, Nitro and World Online) were announced. It's not known yet, how much we can trust this rumour, but already the last time it showed, that Criterion Games would be a favored developer of a new NFS. But this raises the question, what will happen to Burnout... Once we have more information about that topic, you'll get to know here. Criterion Developing Need for Speed Title for Release in 2010 @ Primotech (Source) http://www.nfsplanet.com/index2.php?lang=eng#4991 i hope they dont. -------------------------- Aston Martin Racing Returns to Need for Speed SHIFT another ingame pic :o more - http://www.nfsplanet.com/nfsshift_screens....ng=eng&id=1 Porsche GT3, Ford GT, Lotus, Nissan Skyline GTR i hope the track looks as beautiful as the cars :D -------------------- update QnA NFSUnlimited.net: We heard there will be normal circuit racing and drift game modes. Any others that you can name? Any special online modes and how many racers will be able to compete simultaneously online?Jesse: The target is 16 racers in a full grid both offline and online. A tenet of Need for Speed is multiple game modes and race types, as well as exclusive Online designs. We're not talking about every game mode planned at this time, but expect more on that in the weeks and months to come. NFSUnlimited.net: With the graphics looking really stunning, what kind of PCs do we need to run SHIFT? Jesse: The minimum recommended sku is always edging forward. It's a self fulfilling requirement of Moore's Law. However solid next-gen engines have intrinsic scaling abilities. While performance optimizations are ongoing, I think it'd be a win to run in parity with Undercover's config, at a solid speed and visual level. crap. just 16 cars . Thats normal for a racing game. ya iknow the car list will be 60+ i was talking about 16 car grid. that sucks in this type of racing game & in this gen. GTR2 & its siblings can have 30+ cars on the grid. EA should atleast aim for 20-22 cars (like F1)

carmatic
but wont too many cars make the race feel all spammy and stuff? you'd have newbs clogging up the track and you wont be able to show off your leet skills

carmatic
I really didn't get Pro Street, whats a NFS game if it's legal and no cops. its about getting back to the roots of NFS ... as in NFS1 , back before they couldnt even face backwards in the track, but yeah it was meant to be a driving simulation featuring really nice cars... being a simulation, it also had cops to make it convincing, its only that people ended up liking the cop chases so much that NFS2 was more focused on cops, and it has been that way ever since

Richard Hammond
Really looking forward to this the PC has a distinct lack of decent racing games, they are either way too arcadey or way to simulation, im hoping this will provide a bit of middleground.
