Unrealistic
I guess this is exactly what I didn't want from the Need for Speed franchise. Oh well...maybe one day I will enjoy it again.
sn00pie
This game showed alot of promise, but to be honest that promise seems to be fading as we near the release date. Looks like the focus with the game is one main thing, simulation, so they've cut us short on things like customizing and tuning, which is one of the best parts of NFS games for me. Looks like I'll be passing on this one.

Same here man. I miss the days of Hot Pursuit and even as recent as Most Wanted. I like the more arcadey racers, especially since I suck at the Sim based ones more often than not, so I would have just preferred a focus on the arcadey not realistic take turns @ 120 mph bounce of walls and keep going NFS. san.W10
shift is not a full sim, its more like a arcade+sim (like NFS Porsche) in some interview, it was told that nfs shift is pick & play game. its not like the unforgiving gt series. for the sim. racers, turn off the driver aids & have fun. :D noway can anyone drive a 600-800BHP race cars with just a gamepad :p GTR2 defines sim. san.W10
NFS Shift: Your Face in Need for Speed Need for Speed Shift puts the driver into the spotlight, which this movie on shift.eagames.co.uk tries to communicate. You can fill in your name and upload a picture of you, to get yourself into this movie.http://shift.eagames.co.uk/ The presence of your person is limited - you'll be shown on a paper you sign for a cute girl and you can see your name on a sign and on the side on the car...but it's a nice idea though: +http://www.nfsplanet.com/index2.php?lang=eng#5191 [edit] what i'd really enjoy is a 'semi-auto' gear box :D love it in gtr2 & older cmr games btw, nfs has gone track racing & still no ferrari :( :/ :D Edited September 2, 2009 by san.W10
carmatic
well... idunno... i always thought that the arcade racing games were too arcadey, and the driving simulators were too simmy...
rakeshishere
Will there be a demo for this game? I made a big mistake buying NFS Pro street even though demo sucked big time. I'm a bit careful throwing money on NFS sequels after most wanted :D

carmatic
for those people who think that NFS has gone simulation, well at least those track guide videos how alot of 'action' , i.e. crashes and stuff... or is it meant to portray what happens during online play? MightyJordan
btw, nfs has gone track racing & still no ferrari :( :/ That's because Ferrari are notoriously difficult to get.
