xiphrex
Hi there, Im wondering if anyone knows how to do this. I basically want a screensaver that, when activated, hides the taskbar and open windows, and shows the desktop background. I also am using rainmeter with the 10-foot config and want the time, which is on the desktop, display (and not be minimized). I tried a screensaver called "Phantom Desktop" but it hides everything and displays only the desktop background. Is what Im looking for possible? Cheers,

Nagisan
Huh? Isnt that exactly what you want it to do? The way I understand it, he wants to see the rainmeter program, and wants to see the current time, and nothing else. (so background + rainmeter and time)
User6060
you want a screensaver that promotes burn in?
random_n
If Rainmeter renders its data into the desktop wallpaper, you could just point a photo screensaver at %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Wallpaper1.bmp And the burn-in isn't much of an issue if there's a sane monitor-off timeout as well. :)
cooky560 Veteran Posted March 7, 2009 Veteran Share Posted March 7, 2009 why not just have a screensaver that takes a screendump (minus the taskbar) and uses that?
xiphrex
That might work although it would mean the rainmeter clock would not be functional. After thinking about this a bit more though I think it wouldnt be worthwhile doing what I want anyway, my monitor turns off after 10 minutes inactivity!
