Dead Clown
Hey all, question how do gaming consles work in terms of keeping up to date, such as within a certain time my computer will be too slow to run a certain game but a gaming console will have it and they will continue to be a peak peformance till a newer edition comes out... White Cuban
i guess thats kind of the idea of buying a console instead of a computer for a game, when you buy a console, you buy a guarantee that games you buy for it will work, and consoles usally replace every 3-5 Years, so don't worry about game for your console not to run on it. carmatic
your computer doesnt slow down over time, but the programs get more demanding over time , because the programmers expect people to have faster and faster computers.... well, thats for computers, anyway on game consoles, the programmers know that the consoles arent going to get faster because the specs are fixed, so the games they make actually tend to be faster and better over time as they find ways to make the most out of the console... Corris Veteran Posted March 10, 2009 Veteran Share Posted March 10, 2009 because a console has set hardware for the use of games, it doesnt change throughout the life cycle. and as such developers concentrate on getting as much as they can from the hardware. neoadorable
get a 360 now and she'll run everything the same as every other 360 for the life of the platfrom - which i believe will begin winding down summer of 2010 with a Xmas 2010 release of the next Xbox. So you're good for almost two years.
