deletedxyz
I plan on getting a new laptop and playing Test Drive Unlimited, GRID and Prince of Persia. I'm in search of a good, reliable wireless controller. So far, after reading several reviews, the wireless Xbox 360 controller looks like the favorite. I used to own the wired one but sold it. Is it THE controller to buy or is there another that's better?
+Mystic MVC Posted March 11, 2009 MVC Share Posted March 11, 2009 I would just buy a wired one. That way it saves you $10 initially on the controller and you don't have to buy a $20 receiver. I use one and it works great.
Olemus
The 360 pads are definitly the way to go, just buy a wired one and save some monies.
deletedxyz
I can get a used "Like-New" wireless 360 from Amazon for around $25 so I'll go with the wireless then. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00...;condition=used
Jeston Veteran Posted March 11, 2009 Veteran Share Posted March 11, 2009 If you get a wireless one, though, you'll also need the wireless gaming receiver. It's up to you.
Unimatrix Xero
wireless will require the gaming reciever, just go with a wired one save you some cash
StealMySoda
At some point in the future I'm planning on getting an elite controller, and a wireless receiver, just so it matches the rest of my set up :p
NienorGT
It is the best, and many games (Bioshock, UT3, etc) now support it as native with even ABXY,etc buttons icons. No other controllers can give you this.
TheReaperMan
I agree just get the xbox one, most if not all new games now support it etc. If you do not mind paying a little more go for the wireless one much better than the wired one, but remeber you also need the receiver for the pc. They do sell it in a pack with both etc
deletedxyz
The only downside about the controller is that it feels a bit bulky around the palm area when you hold it. I'm considering the Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2 since it has better software support and has two analog sticks positioned next to each other. http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Cordless-Ru...1292&sr=8-

+Mystic MVC Posted March 12, 2009 MVC Share Posted March 12, 2009 Sorry in my last quote when I said lighter I meant wired, but it appears you knew what I was saying anyway.
