+BeLGaRaTh Subscriber¹ Posted March 11, 2009 Subscriber¹ Share Posted March 11, 2009 As per topic, this has been happening ever since finity was introduced, when in forum view the "=getnewpost" isn't being added, thus you are always taken to the first post post of every thread, regardless of whether you have already visited there or not. It is highly annoying, especially in popular threads to go back to the start every time and then try and guess which of the pages was the last one you viewed. All it needs is the "=getnewpost" being added back in surely?
Corris Veteran Posted March 11, 2009 Veteran Share Posted March 11, 2009 Don't you just click the little blue circle with the upside down triangle in?
+BeLGaRaTh Subscriber¹ Posted March 11, 2009 Author Subscriber¹ Share Posted March 11, 2009 Hve never realised that was there, but should it not be default? It is quite hard to miss that, plus I always click on the text, a lot easier for me with limited hand co-ordination when my osteoarthritis kicks in :(
+BeLGaRaTh Subscriber¹ Posted March 13, 2009 Author Subscriber¹ Share Posted March 13, 2009 Any feedback from devs on this? Make the link have "=getnewpost" too rather than the tiny little icon next to it?
Fred Derf Veteran Posted March 14, 2009 Veteran Share Posted March 14, 2009 Any feedback from devs on this? Make the link have "=getnewpost" too rather than the tiny little icon next to it? Any change would make it inconsistent with the rest of the site. When you browse the forums (or when you view the New/Active posts listing) you also need to click the blue circle to get to the first unread post. Normally, clicking the thread title will take you to page 1. That's just how IPB works. We could change our ticker but then it would be different than the rest of IPB.
