Need a Java Guru/Friend(s) :P

Question

Hi,

I have this exam next week in Java Programming. Thing is, I didn't know about it and I'm unprepared. But I don't give up so easily. The exam is on Monday (the 23rd) and I intend to check out the old class literature to try and prepare myself (I fear I have forgotten most of it coz last time I went a course in Java was like 3 years ago). Anyway, since the course isn't officially active right now, there are no classes and no teacher assistance, and I'm sure to have a Kirstie Alley-load of questions. So I'm looking for someone, or preferably a few someones, who'd be willing to to be my contact(s) on MSN or Yahoo messenger (preferably MSN, but Yahoo works as well) for when I have questions or need guidance. And most importantly, be my friend :). I hate having people in my contact lists who are just there but I never talk to them, so I'd gladly befriend you while you're helping me :).

Since I am in a hurry please contact me as quickly as possible about this so we can talk a little :)

Best wishes,

Raz~

*Bump*

well, I guess it's too late now...

I'll do my best with the exam but I feel extremely unprepared. Next redo is in about 2 months, so I'm still looking for someone who can help answer some questions every now and then. I promise I'll try not to be too much of a burden :p

Ok, I'm giving this one more bump. Please, if anyone would just concider this, I need someone I can turn to for questions otherwise I'll never learn on time and I wont be able to pass.

Thanks in advance,

Raz~

Google is your friend. Seriously. There are TONS of tutorials and other java-related information available on the internet.

If you have a few dollars to spend on a book, I would recommend this one.

If you run into a specific problem, feel free to ask it here, but only after searching the internet for answers. Not to be rude, but I really doubt that any of us want to be your personal java mentor / tutor. We have other things going on and our own homework to do and our own lives to lead.

Right, well see that's kind of the problem :/. If there was no time limit, or no course structure I'd learn everything on my own with tutorials and Google like I did with PHP years ago. But because there is a time limit and I have to follow the course structure, Googling and reading books is just way too much time consumption. And also I'm not looking for a tutor whose gonna give me his own personal classes, I just need someone who can answer quick and short spur of the moment type questions. But I know you're right, people are busy, I was just hoping that one of them wasn't THAT busy and has some time to kill occasionally.
