UK Family 'too fat to work', want more money

Recommended Posts

This is absolutely disgusting and absolutely pathetic.

Emma, said: "I'm a student and don't have time to exercise"

And that's awful. I'm a university student studying a computer science degree, which is I think slightly more academically challenging than training to be a hairdresser. I manage to find time to exercise.

Oh, sorry mate, i didnt understand what you where saying.

Well, from the press they get and the **** they are spurting all the time, it would indicate that they do have a problem with "rowdiness."

hey, no worries. These people really **** me off. A few years back, I broke my hand and had all kinds of trouble with it (infections, etc) not to mention the fact that it broke in a way that only 10% of the world's population would break it. I had to have numerous surgeries and couldn't work for over a year. Through all of this, I didn't and couldn't get social assistance (was refused, even upon appeal), yet these people have no reason not to work and they're making that kind of money. It's sickening!!!

WTF - these people need to learn to diet... it's not that hard to lose weight, you just need to be dedicated and have the willpower.

Not to pass judgment, but I use to weigh 297 lbs and I'm down to 231 in just 8 months. My secret? Drink nothing but water, eat whole grain foods, only eat out max of 1 time per week, 1.5 cups of food max per sitting, walk, and take a daily multi-vitamin (not a weight loss supplement vitamin)

30 minutes 6-7 days a week of walking will do wonders for your body... it has for me.

At first you'll lose weight like crazy, but then it plateaus and all you should expect is 1 - 1.5 lbs per week. Any more and you're not dieting properly.

Losing weight truly is not that hard...

Its not always the case. I have a month and if i dont lose weight, they are going to see if there is a clinical reason im staying the same/putting on weight. I am working out like a bitch at the moment, doing **** loads of cardio and eating fruit and pretty much nothing else, plus taking weight loss pills from the doc as well as having a specialist trainer advise me on the cardio routine to do that night, so if i dont start to lose weight in a month, i know there is something wrong.

Seriously, there are a lot of people their size here in the U.S. They'd fit right in... a quick trip to almost any Wal-Mart will often reveal several families this size. I even know people who are relatively healthy who aren't far off, purely in terms of weight...

I hate paying my taxes for people to laze around getting fat and then use it as an excuse not to work. I work bloody hard for my wage each month and can't believe a portion of it goes to people like this and addicts who claim for their food/alcohol/heroin or whatever else they spend their time consuming without earning it. The world is crazy when people can use their vices as an excuse for a free payout.

Wait long enough and i bet they will blame the government for allowing them to get this way. Nothing to do with the fact they open their big mouths and shovel **** down it.

Spending ?50 on food a week for 4 people, isn't really that much =/ And 3000 calories is about the same amount of calories a working man should be having.

Im 19, i spend ?40 a week on food on myself at uni and im 10 stone.

?50 a week on food is really ?2600 in a year.. where the hell is the other ?20k going... (minus housing, bills, etc..)

But yeah you fat buggers get of your arses and go to work! God, im sure you could do data e:)ry :)

The question is... are they being realistic? I bet they spend triple that amount in reality.

If that's the case - try an all liquid diet.

I had to have my jaw broken just before my senior year of high-school, and I lost 30 lbs in 3 months because all I could eat was liquids and vitamin shakes, etc. No exercise required; although, nothing tastes quite like hamburger helper ground into liquid... lol.

I remember the first day I came home from the hospital - my parents ate steak... ****ed me off.

Thats more realistic.. i tried doing 3500 calories a day to put on weight, and i spent about 70 pounds a week.

LOL @ the photo and some of the comments. But seriously people like this need to get off their big butts and do something....they remind me of octomom, just looking for a handout....why work when the govt just gives you money? they have no incentive. Also, how can you be "Too fat" to work? I have 2 guys that work in our IT department, that are about twice as big as any one of those people, and they obvioulsly have jobs.

Have they not seen Dawn French and Beth Ditto? They're both very big woman and both do very well for themselves, especially Beth who's able to groove a hell of a lot better than I can thats for sure. I can't believe they only spend ?50 a week on food. I wish I could do that, my grocery bills are way more than that :

I despise people who try and take advantage of the benefits system, when they clearly don't need to.

If they can prove it's a medical condition, which can be proved and explained by a doctor, so be it, they can have their benefits. But until it's medically proven, they deserve no benefits.

Obesity comes from the fears and various negative Beliefs people hold.

Your beliefs directly affect how your body handles food, alters the metabolism, and affects your appetites.

The 'genes' excuse is invalid -- genes are controlled by the mind & Spirit.

Discover the beliefs you hold about yourself and the world, change them for the better, and the excess weight will disappear. ;)
