BlueCheese
There's the obvious WIN+L lock, but are there any applications that can give me better options? Maybe something that'd just freeze my desktop completely when I hit the Pause key, and restore it to normal when Pause is hit again, with a password prompt as an option. Locking when the screensaver goes active, too... I guess like the built-in Windows lock, but from a third party.
Olemus
http://www.fspro.net/lock-pc/ allows you to set custom lock screens etc.. and is very flexible. Not sure if thats what your looking for but they do offer a free trial so try it out
BGM
not that i know of.. one question though, why? i don't imagine it would be impossible to make your own app that did this, but I would have to look into it.

pyehac
I have a logitech wireless keyboard with extra buttons on the side, and one of them is programmed so when I press that button, it locks my computer (like the win + L key combo)
Admiral Michael
I have a logitech wireless keyboard with extra buttons on the side, and one of them is programmed so when I press that button, it locks my computer (like the win + L key combo) Same here, I remapped the MediaDirect button on my Inspiron 6400 to do just that. If anyone is wondering just use rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation as the shortcut.

Maybe map it to the "Enter" key...? :p
