IMHO, I think it sucks compared to the older versions.

While I do like the game and find it really fun multiplayer. I have yet to even attempt to start the campaign (though this might just be because of the older games, I'm not sure). I think this is about tied with Yuri's revenge for multiplayer co-op. It's a bit more involved and the countries are perhaps a bit too diverse in how to play them, but the AI is better, smarter, faster, and harder. This gives it a lot of play value with me and my friends.

Compared to C&C, it's more self-conscious and comical. Superweapons are also kind of meh in RA3. (calling down... orbital debris ? lame) But it's a fun, balanced RTS, nothing revolutionary, but it also has nice women in the campaign and some great production values. If you loved previous Red Alert games, you might be kind of underwhelmed by RA3 since it doesn't do a lot of new things, but as a 3d remake with nice cinematics it passes the bar alright. Also, co-op can be fun if you have a friend who's into that.

Its okay, but like someone else said its a bit comical and not serious. I keep going back to Tiberium Wars because its serious and more realistic graphics.

I agree with what Max said. I hear RA3 is good, but it's definatly not my style. I enjoy C&C TW3 a lot better. Matter of fact, I just started a new campaign over the weekend. I bought it on release and never got a chance to really play it. Been having a blast so far.

its ****.

its full of innuedo, "comedy" and units that are farcical even beyond the usual c&c "pushing it a bit" boundaries. it looks nicer than older games obviously but in terms of depth or game play...its feeble compared to the classic original.

If you like SecuROM then go for it..

I'm getting really tired of people bitching about securom, it's so easy to bypass, and ea themselves are releasing ways to get around it in their games. Quit bitching.

I thought RA3 was great myself. I didn't expect to like it much, and instead I loved it. I rarely play through RTSes but I've played through both it and Uprising...though the Allied campaign is on hold cause I'm trying to go through it with a friend...just hasn't happened yet.

I rather enjoyed it myself, it had some pretty fun levels  Mostly with the Empire of the Rising Sun.....

What really annoyed me was the dependency on an AI or Co-Op team-mate in all the levels.

Add multi-player by all means, but DO NOT make the single-player campaign require it
