techbeck
I want to use a wireless NIC for my 360 Question I have is, do I need to use MS' wireless, or can I use another wireless USB adapter? Friend has a linksys wireless nic and i would like to use that instead of paying $100 for MS' wireless nic.
Brian M. Veteran Posted March 22, 2009 Veteran Share Posted March 22, 2009 If you want a USB solution, it's Microsoft's official one or nothing. An alternate is to get an ethernet gaming adapter, which plugs into your 360 via ethernet, and connects to your wireless network, acting as a bridge. These can be almost as expensive as the official one however, and will require an external power source.

There's a list of compatible adapters somehwere, don't know where though as I would use wired for my 360 no matter how many meters of cable I would have to lay :)
Smashing Pumpkin
Apparently you can use 2 V1.0 or 1.5 BT home Hubs, one as master and one as slave, they are around ?10 on eBay: http://www.jarviser.co.uk/jarviser/hubasdongle.html
