Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000 + Windows 7

Recommended Posts

I have the MS WED 8000, and for some reason the kb randomly disconnects and I then need to re-pair it. I've searched for any threads here and elsewhere, did not find anything relevant. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

I'm using 7057, not sure why I am having this problem. Yes I'm using the 7 drivers, even reinstalled them and still same issue. Maybe I need to do a clean install of 7, which I really don't want to do. How do I totally wipe out the keyboard? Perhaps a clean install of the WED would fix it, since I went from Vista to several builds all via upgrades.

I cannot give you a definitive answer because I am still on build 7000 with a clean install. It's possible that the upgrade paths caused problems but I am not very sure.

If you uninstalled the drivers, I am not sure if anything more can be done to clean-up the drivers.

Try to unplug the keyboard and plug it back up. If that don't work, open Device Manager and uninstall the keyboard, then reboot plug it back up. Hope that helps. I have a rogue web cam that requires this to work in 7. :|

It's working, new problem now. I have RC, kb works fine except when I go into sleep mode and wake-up. It just doesn't work, that or the mouse. I always need to plug in a USB mouse, then use the on-screen kb to enter my pw and shortly after the desktop loads, then the 8000 kb/mouse works. How do I fix this? Thanks.
