Ceville - New Point n Click - Supposebly awesome

Recommended Posts

Ceville is quite a good P&C but definitely not "awesome". It's cool, it has some "old-funny-colorful-lucasartish" feeling but i find the 3D very annoying (the movement of the camera is horrible and the path algorithm is buggy). In addition I find they didn't spend enough time improving the gameplay : for example it's easy to confuse the objects you can pick up with the "background", and that's just plain frustration.

On a side note, are you guys living on Earth ? :D P&C is not dead, sure it WAS dead but since Runaway there are lots of Point & Click games that have been released or are in development. Secret Files, Still Life, Sam & Max new series, A Vampyre Story etc ...

PS : By the way i'm playing a Spanish P&C game right now, it's called "Hollywood Monsters" and it's the first commercial game released by Pendulo Studios (Runaway). Well THIS game is what i call Awesome :D

A Vampyre Story looks nice and got A- from Just Adventure, I have to try that :).

Vampyre story looks pretty cool but i've read reviews that say the dialog is unfunny and annoying. Worth a try though.

I finally got Ceville, the performance is really ****ty on my laptop though, it's wierd. I got 10-15fps at 1440x900 with everything on full and the exact same framerates on 1024x768 with everything turned off. Seems like I should be able to get alot more performance outa this.

No idea about 7100 because you can only get it off the back of a lorry at the moment :p but my 7057 works fine. Might ask my housemate to put it on his 7100 tomorrow and have a look at that.
