Kenneth V
Hi, So last night I upgraded from build 7000 to build 7068. It went smoothly. Now I just have one tiny problem: My Internet is gone. When Windows is troubleshooting/resolving the issue it returns the following message: "The remote device or resource won't accept the connection". The PC is connected via a switch that is connected to my router, which is a ZyXEL Prestige 2602R-61. I have tried different ports on the switch, different cables etc. but nothing seems to work. But all the sudden I had Internet access for five minutes and then the Internet access was gone again. I have looked all around the forum in posts with similar problems and found no solution whatsoever. I have three laptops, a PS3 and three desktops connected (one of which is running build 7068) and the 7068 is the only one not being allowed to access the Internet. It's working fine on the LAN. I tried to reset the DHCP table in the router with no useful outcome. The IPs changed but the computer still won't access the Internet. Does anyone know what might be causing this? I have another PC running build 7000 and it connects to the Internet with no problems. So did the other PC before upgrading from 7000 to 7068. Access Denied
7057 and 7068 drop wireless connections. Not all adapters are affected, but yours and mine both are.
occuip2101
Just want to note that build 7048 does that also, I'm now on 7057 whenever it happens, I disconnect the wireless network and disable the adapter and enable it again. It should work a while. :p Now i usually just plug in cable when i'm at home and got no problem that way.
Monotremata
Its not just wireless. Mine likes to do it whenever I reboot my laptop at home. It just did it a few minutes ago. Im connected just fine to my Linksys router, and can connect to the internal web panel just fine but nothing goes out of there. Tried diagnosing it and Windows couldnt come up with anything. Usually I disable then enable the adapter sometimes it works. Was just randomly pinging some sites and neowin was the first one that started working and all of a sudden my internet started working and I came right over here hehe. So yeah happens with wired networks too. I did try and switch over to wireless but that did the exact same thing. I connected to the network just fine but the internet didnt work at all. gregrocker
This is because daily builds are not debugged as thoroughly as the Beta itself because they are daily works-in-progress that happen to get leaked. Half of my machines have had to be kept on 7000 because every attempt to upgrade, overwrite or clean install since then has found consistent wi-fi and explorer bugs which have no found solution. scott1
i'm having the same sort of problem, but i didn't upgrade. I am on build 7100. I connect through a wireless card to my router, everything worked fine up until recently then internet exlpoder stopped working, I still get internet through firefox but i get the same error from exploder. " remote device or resource won't accept the connection" Other computers running XP, Vista, Linux ubuntu, and Windows 7 7100, all connect just fine. Monotremata
I turned off the option to allow the computer to put both my wired and wireless NIC's to sleep and it seemed to have taken care of that problem. Any build after 7100 though, havent touched it and everythings working smooth as ever now. My wired is a Broadcom adapter and my wireless is either a Dell or Intel adapter (cant remember but its a Dell Latitude D830 laptop). I only ran into the problem once on my Pc at work though (Dell Precision 390 with a Broadcom NIC) and disabling/re-enabling the adapter fixed that one..
