techbeck
So I upgraded my HD to 120gb on my 360. So now I have a 20gb HD just laying around. Could I use the USB cable that came with my new hard drive and attach it to my 360? Was curious if I could use it as a storage device to save games on...and whatever else I may think of. DrunknMunky Veteran Posted April 6, 2009 Veteran Share Posted April 6, 2009 I'm not certain you can use the 20GB with the USB cable, but you can certainly switch out the 120GB and use the 20GB for storage as well. You'll need a memory card to move save games though, because when you copied everything to the 120GB it wipes the 20GB. And of course you can download your 360 gamer profile when you connect to Live. NoLiMiT06
You could get a external hd case for laptop drives, format to FAT32 and use it as a "Media Center" store music etc but you cannot save games to it or anything of the sort. Not even transfers between the drive and ur 360...
techbeck
Hmm ok. So much for that idea. Will probably keep it as a backup drive then. Thanks :)
DrunknMunky Veteran Posted April 7, 2009 Veteran Share Posted April 7, 2009 ^ You can use it for game saves, demos and other content from XBLM. What NoLiMiT06 is suggesting is treating it like a desktop/laptop hard drive.
