.KICK
There are no accidents. At least, not when it comes to postings from Rare. That's why newly released screens from the beloved UK-based developer are causing a stir. Recently, Rare posted images of a new Banjo-Kazooie theme. Included in one of the images is the "My Xbox" blade for one of Rare's employees. Among the "Latest Games" listed is a fuzzy picture of Joanna Dark. This is not the icon that displays from playing Perfect Dark Zero. The implication is that, like Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie, the N64 version of Perfect Dark is headed to XBLA. The image is in no way confirmation of PD on XBLA. It could, as one editor noted, just be Rare "screwing with everyone." When asked to comment, a Microsoft representative said, "we have nothing to announce at this time." PiracyX
Probably will come out in the next couple of months and with a 1600MS Points pricetag.....great. I liked the game but i can see it being charge way over the top.
DanManIt
Yeah I see it being expensive too. I don't know if I'll get it or not
DClark
The game had technical problems on the 64, so I would more then welcome PD on a system that is capable of rendering its graphics.
GameOverRob
I still wish microsoft would throw some money at someone to clear up the mess about who owns the rights to goldeneye, surely it would be worth their while!

Ahh yes, 8 bots + 2 players + rocket launchers = 10fps. :D
Kushan
Hmm. You know, if rumours and conjecture are accurate, then Goldeneye (XBLA) was pretty much finished, just for licensing reasons they couldn't release it. We all know Perfect Dark was a spiritual sequel to Goldeneye and, in fact, runs on the same engine and such, so how cool would it be if both games were released as one big game, except all the bond references got changed to PD stuff? I'd probably pay 1200 MS points for that.
Xerxes
Day one purchase if it is releasing! Same here! I still have my N64 but never bought Perfect Dark (sacrilege I know! but at the time I was extremely cash strapped!) but I did hired it alot and it was great :) purchasing a 120Gb HDD for my 360 is becoming more and more a good idea now :p
random_n
I loved that game so much, but to me, the crusty N64 controller and awful framerate really kills the experience when hooking up the old equipment. Playing it with a 360 controller properly optimized for the experience (which I could never get right with Project64 & co) would be golden. Instapurchase here too. :D
.KICK
It is going to be weird if it does get released and the frame rate is perfect! Got so used to the poor frame rate on the N64! Might feel like a totally different game! But yeah I can't wait if it does get released. Would be awesome over XBL.
madd-hatter
If GoldenEye stalled, so will this.
.KICK
If GoldenEye stalled, so will this. No reason for it too be stalled as I am sure Rare has the rights for this game so they can release where as with GoldenEye the rights were tied with another company if I remember correctly. Nintendo was the publisher for GoldenEye I think which is the cause of the problem? But Rare was the publisher for PD.
Kushan
Nintendo was the publisher for GoldenEye I think which is the cause of the problem? But Rare was the publisher for PD. The cause of the problem was the bond license, Nintendo/Rare no longer owned it, Activision did and (legend has it) Nintendo basically told Activision not to let MS use it or they'd lose Wii support (which at the moment is Activision's bread and butter). Perfect Dark has no such problems since the license and IP is owned by Rare/MS. Conker's bad fur day got release on the Xbox without trouble.
