Maximum Error
Title says it all really. I'd been looking for a single player game to buy n saw quantum of solace of ?24.99 n thought i would give it a go. After a full day of playing i am absolutley loving the game. Its really got me feeling like i am playing james bond and no game has ever had that 'feel' since goldeneye. The reason i ask if anyone else has liked it is because the game has recieved such mixed reviews in the press.
deletedxyz
Well, it's a standard, linear shooter. Nothing ground breaking and many gave negative ratings because of the price of the game. For 6 hours, one would expect more hours of gameplay for the $50 spent.
Rookas
I did't enjoy it at all. I thought it might be decent since it's based on IW's CoD engine so I tried a rental. Honestly, if it wasn't so short I would not have played through it. There are many better shooters out there.
JaredFrost
I just finished it the other day and I liked it, you gotta play on 007 difficulty right away it forces you to be more Bondish and not Ramboish
GameOverRob
Yeah it is a lot better if you do play it on 007 difficulty straight away but also way more frustrating, especially at some of the supid button bash sequences!
Maximum Error
yeah - i absolutley love the game. its a nice, simple james bond experience. Very linear n the graphics n gameplay dont exasctly stretch the boundries but its a good fun game to play!

All can EASILY be beaten in less than 6 hours.

Ayepecks
I didn't think it was bad at all, just mediocre. It had some good ideas, but was far too brief and didn't do much in terms of something inventive or clever for the gameplay to set it apart from other games. Not a bad game at all, though. Reminds me of the recent Wanted game (and demo on Xbox Live). They're both mediocre games, IMO, that are short. But they're major step ups from most licensed games. Maximum Error
Yeah i would agree that all the singleplayer games i have played recently have all been short....... off topic a bit but (apart from the obvious half life games) what are the longest games? what games really give you your singleplayer monnies worth? neoadorable
as usual ayepecks is the voice of reason - indeed i was thinking that the Wanted release was very much like QoS. and good thread Maximum...but beware, there's some around here that will jump down your throat for liking this one. Look up my thread about it from a few months back for an example. i also liked it very much, the single player is fun and short enough that two goes at it are no problem, the visuals are nice, and the MP is in fact very decent - give it a shot, you'll see. it's like a more casual version of the last two COD's. what
Yeah i would agree that all the singleplayer games i have played recently have all been short....... off topic a bit but (apart from the obvious half life games) what are the longest games? what games really give you your singleplayer monnies worth? Oblivion and Fallout 3 can last you hundreds of hours, GTA IV can last 30-50 hours but I've probably spent well over 150 hours on it altogether. neoadorable
Lost Odyssey was also long - a single playthru will set you back 40-50 hours.
