madd-hatter
1. Why can't people afford $50 a year? 2. Why would someone own a X360 without Live Gold? That is the biggest perk of the entire console. I forgot "Silver" members existed.

I forgot "Silver" members existed. Some people are cheap and / or doesn't spend enough time on the console to warrant the $50 a year - Not to mention you can get it for like $25-30 if you go through those dodgy-but-trustworthy ex-ebayer sites. Sethos
oh sweet going to download now.. uh where is it to download? Not seeing it as free anywhere on Live Download? Oh no my friend, it's just "free" to play if you have a Silver Account and you own the game, so no need for a gold account this weekend.

ozgeek
I used to to be on Gold for 3 months but didn't see the need to renew. I can play multiplayer on my PC for free. I'm a pensioner so no. It's idiotic to pay for what I can get for free on other platform.

That is the biggest perk of the entire console. I forgot "Silver" members existed. Primarily because I haven't had enough time to commit to online gaming and I'm a poor student. Aided by the fact I have 2 other main platforms to play online with. I'll probably renew my sub for Summer. I have some friend who'll probably be happy about this, I'll tell them. I forgot "Silver" members existed. I let my membership lapse when I don't play it often enough or (generally) when I'm at school because the internet connection is only good enough for a few games. No sense in paying money for something I don't use, so I can understand why lots of people don't use it if they don't play online games enough. Its not the same dude im sorry you can't justify Xbox Online with a PC game online.

Smashing Pumpkin
General Halo comments: 1. I HATE people with low rep who put their status as pro and just betray all the time... 2. I HATE people who betray you cos you take a weapon they want, or because you want to drive the warthog. 3. I LOVE the APC Warthog made with 2 barriers, that is very cool, and looks a very fun way to get the Sandbox skull. 4. I HATE kids.

Argi
1. Why can't people afford $50 a year? I can, but Microsoft aren't getting it for core features of gameplay that should be free. This isn't the 90's where multiplayer is a little sideperk, it's as much of a feature as singleplayer is and should be included in the box. 2. Why would someone own a X360 without Live Gold? That is the biggest perk of the entire console.I forgot "Silver" members existed. Well I must be missing something here because I've had silver for over a year and haven't found anything to justify paying for the cost. If I was in the US and had Netflix access? Absoloutely it'd be worth it, but really there's nothing else. I dont have a microphone for the 360 for voice messages either. So until then I have my PC for multiplayer (and that's without even getting into how lulz it is watching people play FPS on a console).

I forgot "Silver" members existed. There is a difference between not being able to afford, and choosing to afford. To put it simply I would love to buy gold if it provided another way of using the time I purchased. I hardly play online at all, but I do usually get random urges to pop in and play multiplayer. However if I were to buy any subscription, 1, 3, 6, 12 months, I would let it go to waste. The clock starts ticking down as soon as I activate, even though I am not using the service. How is that fair to me? For people who play _ALOT_, this is a perfectly fine subscription model. Now for casual players like me, I would rather see the time count down when I actually use the service to play multiplayer. This would give me the proper value for what I paid, and Microsoft would sell another unit of time instead of me just saying fck it and not playing at all.
