Question

I am just starting out with apache and i need help. How can i get a flash document to be able to be downloaded either inside a webpage or just in the browser itself. I know the server works, but it just wont let flash docs be downloaded.

it's not the server that will let the flash docs to be opened it's the browser. If you don't have the proper plugins to play the flash document then it won't play. Export your flash project as html and put that in your htdocs foder and see if it works that way.

Do you have a html document on it with all the <OBJECT CLSID....etc > ? Also, check the path in the html file to make sure its not pointing somwhere on your harddrive. The html file and the swf file must be in the same directory.
