NFS + Steering Wheel

Recommended Posts

Title says it all really, I'm looking to get my hands on a Need For Speed game but I can't decide which one. Any ideas? :) I'll probably be buying a wheel to go with it, so if anyone has any recommendations I'd appreciate it. (Y)

+1 for NFSU2, I really enjoyed that game... the only new(er) game that I've enjoyed was Most Wanted. I heard the newest one wasn't too bad, much better than Pro Street at least.

This is not really a viable option for you, but I believe nfs3: Hot Pursuit was the best :)

 . NFS 3: HP and NFS 3: HP-2.. were where it was at.

After that... they started going way down hill.

My personal favs are:

NFS 2 - first one i played

NFS 3 Hot Pursuit

NFS Hot Pursuit 2 - last one you can play as cops if i remember correctly

NFS Underground - best online play

NFS Underground 2 - best online play

NFS Most Wanted - much better than carbon and pro street, undercover is pretty much the same as most wanted but i still think most wanted is better and had good story

 oops, thanks San. (Y) Well, does anyone have recommendations for a steering wheel?

(Changed the topic title slightly.)

Logitech G25. I have one and there is absolutely no other wheel that can beat it.

:o and why's that?

arcade racers = joystick/game pads, while sims = steering wheels... which doesn't explain why I'm using an Xbox 360 controller for GTR Evo. In other words, I was mostly kidding.

Steering wheel + NFS = blasphemy :boo:

I have to agree there. Using a steering wheel in an arcade racing game doesn't suit the game at all. It's actually BETTER to use a gamepad. Steering wheel are best used for games like GTR2, rFactor, Race 07 WTCC. Test Drive Unlimited is probably where the line is when arcade meets simulation.

Then again... It's all according to user preference. For now, NFS is best played with a gamepad rather than keyboard or steering wheel.

So you don't like Outrun with a steering wheel? :o I want Gran Turismo 5. :(

OMG, I actually made a point? Finally!

You couldn't before? It looks like it's because of the neoconservative propaganda you use for your signature and unsupported trashing of Obama.
