david
I have the usb drive formatted in FAT32 with music on it. When I plug it into the 360 console, the light doesn't turn on the drive and I don't see it in the music selection section. How do I get it to work? t0mbi
Mine worked fine... So the light doesn't turn on?? If you plug it into another USB source like a PC or laptop, does it turn on? I think the light is suppose to denote 'activity' like it flickers when something is transferring.

Southern Patriot
Did you remove the U3 trash from the drive? That might be confusing the Xbox.
david
Did you remove the U3 trash from the drive? That might be confusing the Xbox. Yes I did.
Southern Patriot
Yes I did. Couldn't tell you for sure then. I do know that sometimes I've had my 4GB Cruzer do similar things (the light not coming on) when moving it between machines, but usually taking it out and re-inserting it clears it up. Olemus
Try all the usb ports on the 360 (theres one on the back as well)
SMELTN
mine works fine. I have a San Disk 2gig Cruzer, and a 8gig off brand and both work great. I know I have formatted both also, so it shouldn't be an issue with the formatting.
david
Try all the usb ports on the 360 (theres one on the back as well) I tried the two in front. I didn't know there was one in the back! Ha.
