Additions to the Partner Group

Recommended Posts

Daniel F.    595

We have had some additions to the Partner Group lately so I just wanted to let everyone know who the new guys are:

Windows Outreach Team:

jeff_windows_team

codyg_ie8team

RonS WINDOWS-TEAM

feranm_ie8team

These peeps are from the Windows outreach team and will be about on the forums to answer MS related product questions and take suggestions directly to Microsoft.

They will be joining others already in the Partner group representing AMD, Stardock, Buzzcorps and Rackspace

Hi guys. Perhaps somebody could explain what it is that Windows Outreach does?

Hi guys. Perhaps somebody could explain what it is that Windows Outreach does?

As Steve mentioned in the announcement, they are Microsoft employees who have joined Neowin to help customers with problems relating to Microsoft products. They also are taking feedback from the forum directly to their teams up in Redmond :).

Welcome guys!

I saw their names listed on the forums and I thought they weren't new until I saw this thread...

Welcome to Neowin.

Welcome guys!

As Sean mentioned what Steve mentioned  we are here to help you all with questions about Microsoft, mainly Windows and IE. We are not full blown tech support so sometimes we may not be able to answer ALL of your questions, but we can usually point you in the right direction. We are all excited to get down into the trenches and help you out. See you in the forums!

Hi guys. Perhaps somebody could explain what it is that Windows Outreach does?

They're a Microsoft-endorsed external group tasked with liaising with communities like ours and giving their insight where they can. Welcome to Neowin!

As for who mentioning who...it's Daniel in the first post, not Steve! :D

In the end everybody wins:

  • Users win because they can ask for help here, knowing there are MS employees present who can and will take feedback from here to the Redmond mothership.
  • Neowin wins: Its already excellent reputation as a tech forum will (hopefully) get even better, attracting more users.
  • Microsoft wins by getting feedback on new and/or beta products.

Welcome to Neowin, folks.

Maybe someone should add the Partner color to the group legend under the active users on the main forum page?

Do we go through the usual hazing process with Partners or not? :shifty:

What hazing process? There's no hazing process for staff or MVC's. Amirite?

Because that would be stupid. We're not immature enough to do something like beat someone up or threaten someone over the internet. Everything staff does is mature.

:p Welcome guys. Hope you enjoy the site, and I hope the users enjoy having you around (I'm sure they will).
