+xWhiplash Subscriber² Posted April 22, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted April 22, 2009 Hey guys I am still learning OS X so I might be missing some obvious stuff here. But half the time I cannot access my windows network through my mac. However, I can access my mac from any other Windows computer on my network. A few times I will start up my mac and see my windows machines on the network, but others I cannot find them at all. What is going on here? Where you turn on the mac and they don't show up in the sidebar in Finder. To connect to a Windows share without using that nifty little icon in Finder you can press Command+K and type smb://IP ADDRESS or Windows PC Name and it will connect to it like that
