ObiWanToby
I share my printer on my desktop with my laptop. My desktop is on Windows 7 x86_64. My laptop is on Windows Vista 32bit. On Vista I could add additional drivers so that x86 clients could connect. Here are the files. http://localhostr.com/files/c3cf46/ip4600svst221ej.7z Now for some reason on Windows 7, it just fails. The specified location does not contain the driver series for the requested processor architecture. Any idea here? Do I need to edit the inf, if so how? Or is this just some crazy bug. Thanks! I seemed to have solved it. Apparently Windows does not like to install another driver, unless the name of the printer is exactly the same. Windows 7 calls my printer the "Canon Injket iP4600 series" and the inf called it the "Canon iP4600 series". So I edited the name to be what Windows 7 named it, now it works. TokiToki
Thank you! I've been searching on this issue for quite some time. Modifying the INF did the trick.
