Punkrulz
Hey guys, One of the biggest things I hate using is in-game server browsers. They don't seem to be as great as they could be. I went back to researching about ASE (All Seeing Eye for those that don't know) and I see that Yahoo bought, and eventually canned the project. No more ASE. I've also tried using the XFire server browser, and that seems to be pretty horrible too. I know HLSW was nice, however I don't recall if that could actually scan for game servers, or would only utilize servers you manually add so you can control them externally. Does anyone have any other application suggestions that may work well for me? Thanks!
ViZioN
Ahhhh ASE, that program takes me back to my Counterstrike days :p I used to really like it. I think you're right about HLSW, its more an remote rcon browser tool than a server browser. At least it was when I used it. I don't know of anything currently that's like ASE however. Sorry :(
SinghKing
ASE was probably one of the best ones. I use HLSW sometimes to get specific server but it does suck in some ways. Only shows 11 servers in one instance but says thousands. Theres QTracker but I've never tried it or alternatively theres Game Monitor which is web-based. Lemme know if you find any other ones. I'm also interested in some good ones.
LOC Veteran Posted April 28, 2009 Veteran Share Posted April 28, 2009 QTracker, totally. I bought it a year or two ago to support the dev (it's free though). Amazingly good product. And always updated, either with new games/filters or features. Just remember it's one guy developing it though.
